This design proposal envisions a Climate Change Awareness Center that educates visitors about the environmental and social impacts of climate change in a family-friendly, interactive, and scientifically accurate way. The center features immersive experiences such as a CAVE-style virtual reality environment, hands-on simulations, and three distinct exhibition spaces, including areas for special exhibitions that evolve with new research and initiatives.
The design emphasizes accessibility through full ADA compliance, ensuring that all visitors can comfortably navigate and engage with the space. Amenities such as a café and gift shop encourage longer visits and community interaction.
Biophilic principles guide the interior aesthetic, incorporating local native plant species that thrive with minimal irrigation and maintenance, reinforcing the center’s message of sustainability. The result is an inviting, educational environment that connects science, design, and nature to inspire climate awareness and stewardship across generations.
