Fractal Light: multimedia video installation
Fractal Light: multimedia video installation
This immersive multimedia video installation is displayed in a darkened room, featuring a laser-cut fractal overlay that shapes and scatters light from the animation beneath. The animation is created by digitally manipulating an image of a windowsill from Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, exploring the passive cooling strategies of historical architecture, such as window design and water fountains. By combining light, fractal geometry, and a spoken poem, the installation meditates on the nature of light, spatial perception, and sensory experience, creating a contemplative dialogue between architecture, natural phenomena, and narrative.
